100x100 is a photography project which involves taking 100 portraits of people who are 100 years old or older. The photographs are close-up shots of the centenarians and they aim to show the beauty and reality of the ageing process. The idea came to me while volunteering for Supporting Older People, a local charity in Harrogate, where I visit an old gentleman. Once all the 100 portraits are taken, the project will be exhibited around the UK and a photo-book will be published. All the profits will then be donated to charities which work with and for the elderly: please see the Charities page for more information. Please also visit the Gallery for a preview of some portraits and the About page to get to know a bit more and to help me spread the word. All the images are copyright protected and can not be used without permission.
